Question 1

How does teewai analyze my teeth?

Accepted Answer

Snap a photo of your smile and teewai's AI extracts whiteness, shade, stain and dental-health signals. A deterministic engine then maps them to a VITA Classical shade and a 0-100 whiteness and dental health score.

Question 2

Is teewai a medical device?

Accepted Answer

No. teewai is a wellness companion. We strongly advise visiting your dentist for professional care.

Question 3

Does teewai work for families?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Family plans include up to 5 members with 15 scans each per month, tracked individually in a shared family dashboard.

Question 4

Does teewai use my photos to train AI?

Accepted Answer

No. teewai never uses your photos to train AI models and never sells your data.

Question 5

What is the difference between a quick scan and a full scan?

Accepted Answer

A quick scan uses one photo for a fast whiteness and dental health score. A full scan captures five angles (front, upper, lower, left and right) for a complete picture of your whole mouth, and costs 3 scan credits.

Question 6

How accurate is the VITA shade match?

Accepted Answer

teewai compares your teeth to the VITA Classical A1-D4 shade guide, the same standard dentists use. For the most precise color calibration, include a VITA shade tab or a plain white index card in the frame as a reference.

Question 7

Does teewai detect plaque, calculus and enamel wear?

Accepted Answer

Yes. teewai screens for stains, plaque, calculus, enamel erosion and early caries using validated indices like the Silness and Loe Plaque Index, BEWE erosion score and ICDAS caries grading, all from a single photo. Your dentist confirms these with a clinical exam.

Question 8

Can teewai track how my diet stains my teeth?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Snap a photo of your meal and teewai identifies each item, then scores the chromogens, tannins and acids that cause extrinsic staining. Every scan rolls into a daily stain load so you can see exactly which foods and drinks are dimming your smile and get mitigation tips.
